**It appears Facebook has since deleted the comments from Kenton after being reported.**
Citizen’s of Yakima,
Recently a post of ours generated many comments of support, and also some attacks. This post is titled “Long Post” and discusses the recent talks about potentially closing Station 92.
We understand there are many differing opinions to these topics and highly encourage interaction and conversation. We can all learn and grow from these conversations and our goal is to attempt to help educate the community on the inner workings of YFD.
One of our members reached out to Kenton Gartrell to have a discussion regarding the information he was citing as “fact.” This morning, that meeting was supposed to take place, but Kenton Gartrell never showed up.
Kenton Gartrell then made personal attacks on one of our members that is 100% inappropriate and will possibly be facing legal ramifications.
IAFF Local 469 blocked Kenton Gartrell from our page and reported the comments. The comments are still on our page for the community to see the true character of this individual.
Personal Attacks on our members and their families will not be tolerated on this page.

OMG... I hope it's not the Head Start building.
Be careful y'all
And city council wants to close a station and cut 12 firefighters! They have been so busy and you have seen the work they have been doing at the flooding disasters in the last week! And locally the Selah fire that they lost 3 houses in! Call city council and say NO to cutting the fure department!
While crews are still operating at the hop fire, engine 96 responded from Union Gap for a CPR in progress at 56th Ave & Chestnut. Engine 92 cleared the hop fire on 16th Ave to assist resulting in a 13 minute response for a CPR. A 2 Person AMR rig was doing compressions until Engine 96 arrived.
There is ALSO another commercial fire happening at this time off 39th Ave tying up all the remaining YFD apparatus.

Where was the ambulance? 🚑 Since a fire engine can't transport a patient to the hospital? Maybe we need more ambulances.
But yeah, City of Yakima Council District 6 - Matt Brown , it's definitely reasonable to cut firefighters and a station. 🙃 #supportyfd
How about removing a council member and keeping the essential firefighters?
