Citizen’s of Yakima,

Recently a post of ours generated many comments of support, and also some attacks. This post is titled “Long Post” and discusses the recent talks about potentially closing Station 92.

We understand there are many differing opinions to these topics and highly encourage interaction and conversation. We can all learn and grow from these conversations and our goal is to attempt to help educate the community on the inner workings of YFD.

One of our members reached out to Kenton Gartrell to have a discussion regarding the information he was citing as “fact.” This morning, that meeting was supposed to take place, but Kenton Gartrell never showed up.

Kenton Gartrell then made personal attacks on one of our members that is 100% inappropriate and will possibly be facing legal ramifications.

IAFF Local 469 blocked Kenton Gartrell from our page and reported the comments. The comments are still on our page for the community to see the true character of this individual.

Personal Attacks on our members and their families will not be tolerated on this page.
